Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Today is the last day of the year 2013. We said goodbye once again to an old year and welcome the new. 2013 was a good year for us here. There are so many unforgettable memories and also bad memories. 2013 is a very significant year for me because we were able to spend holidays in the Philippines with my family. It was a dream come true and I really treasure those moments. I missed my family so much and being able to see them again after such long years made me cry. I am so grateful for the husband for making my wish granted, of course with the help and guide of the Almighty father. Now that another year has ended, we should all look back and be grateful for the things that happened. Whether it is good or bad. All things happened for a reason, and the most important thing is that we all alive and healthy. Some significant events happened this year are:

– In MARCH my friends and I went to Stockholm, Sweden. It was my first time to travel outside the country without hubby but with my daughter and my friends. We cruise Helsinki- Stockholm and had bonding moments together. It was a fun and memorable experience.

– In early MAY we had one week family getaway to Paphos, Cyprus where I meet one of my best friend. We stayed at Avanti Village hotel enjoying their big swimming pool and villa. We road tripping to the mountain Trodoos, explore the Paphos beaches, and the the coral bay. We also visit their zoo, the harbour and etc.

– In JUNE I celebrated my 30th birthday! We had a little party in our backyard with my friends. It was perfect. We eat, drink, went to sauna, dance, chitchats, and just enjoy each others company. I love it when my friends come and stay overnight. It doesn’t happen more often.

– In AUGUST my dream trip has finally happened. My family had a three-week vacation in the Philippines. We met my father, sister, brothers, nieces, nephews, and relatives. We had a countryside day tour in Camiguin island with my whole family. We also went to Cabadbaran to visit my mother’s grave, and then Butuan to visit my auntie and my best friend. Ari and I celebrated our 2nd year wedding anniversary at my best friend’s residence. It was so lovely!

Other places we visited during our vacation were: Palawan, Boracay and Cebu. We had so much fun in Palawan. We visited the underground river, and we had the island hopping tour as well. We also went to El Nido island. One of the nice places I wanted to visit. I met my friend in Cebu and even if it was a very short meeting, it was indeed a memorable one. I am so happy to see her again and her kids. In Boracay, we enjoyed the beach, food, and relaxing moments for one week there. It was the best!

In August also we added new member of the family. Ari’s son moved here to live with us. We also had a good and bad travel experience in Beijing China which we cannot forget forever.

Overall, 2013 was really a good year for me. It was a year full of fun and adventures. So many places we traveled and explored. I think the saddest thing that happened this year was the earthquake in Bohol, and the typhoon Haiyan in Leyte. But aside from that, all things were good.

In terms of blogging and photography projects I am proud that I was able to complete the Project 52. I would like to continue the project every year. I love capturing those childhood moments of my beloved daughter.

There are so many things happened this year. And I am so grateful. I hope 2014 will be as fruitful as the year 2013.

Happy New Year everyone!
