Summer Fun At Särkjärvi Lake

It’s hard to believe it’s August already. That means only one thing, summer is almost over. With one month left of summer we have tried our best to enjoy every minute of it. The weather forecast promises few more weeks of warm weather, but I know as soon as September comes the cold season will start as well. August is the final month of summer, I just knew it!

We have enjoyed the sunny weather as much as we can. We spent a lot of time outside, walk to the parks, trips to the beach and lakes including swimming, backyard meals and eating barbecues and fresh fruits from the backyard. Life is so good in summertime. I just wish summer is always here.

This summer is super hot. The only way I could put Rianna to nap is to walk her around the neighborhood or to the park. While she is having a nap in the stroller I also have “me alone time” at the park. Normally, I just sat down and listen to music. Sometimes I read a bible on my phone. One day, two older ladies came to me and asked something. I don’t really understand what she was saying, but I didn’t speak English to them either. I just look and said “okay”, and then she grabbed a paper from her purse and gave it to me. She said a few words and left. As soon as they left I checked the paper they gave me. It was a small paper containing facts about religion. Right now I couldn’t say I am as religious as I was before. I do not go to church anymore. However, I never forget to pray every single day. Being religious isn’t just about going to church every Sunday, right? Although, I miss it, I have to get use to the fact that everything is different here. It’s useless to attend the mass when you don’t understand what the priest is saying. I know, I really have to learn Finnish. But no matter what, my faith is always there and it will never change. Are you a religious person?

Lastly, just over a week ago when we went to Särkjärvi lake. This lake is beautiful, surrounded with trees and green grass. It is not far from Loviisa city and it is the best place to relax. However, because its summer the place is quite crowded but not as crowded as the main beach here in Loviisa. We spent few hours there swimming and getting tan.

Here’s our photos from the särkjärvi lake.
