MERIPÄIVÄT WEEKEND IN KOTKA WITH FRIENDS

After our long three-week holiday abroad, we spent the next weekend with friends in Kotka. It was a meripäivät week, a really big summer event in Kotka. It was my first time to attend so it was kind of exciting for me to see what is meripäivä all about. My friends and kids stayed the whole weekend at my friend’s apartment in Kotka. There were five kids in total and five adults, and was amazing how we all fit in the apartment.

We spent Saturday having fun at the Tivoli, an amusement park they installed for that event. It was located near the harbour. Kids were having so much fun. Yanna was so happy and excited. She had so much fun with the rides she had. It was hot and sunny and was so crowded. Everyone were having fun. Kids tried the scary rides, and also buy friends tried the extreme rides. I’m not so excited about rides so I was just there watching them screaming. :) We also met other friends after that and spent time at the apartment making food and having dinner together.

It was a lovely weekend spent with friends. We don’t see each other often that’s why it is very special if we all see each other and find time to meet despite our busy schedules. Life is messy and busy sometimes and it’s good to take a break from time to time. That weekend was perfect and I am happy that I had a camera with me to capture those fun moments with friends.
