OLAVINLINNA CASTLE IN SAVONLINNA

We finally visited the Olavinlinna Castle. I have been wanting to visit this place for quite a long time now. I am happy that we finally visited the Olavinlinna castle and see it in my very own eyes.

We woke up so early on Saturday morning. We started driving at 6:30 AM on our way to Savonlinna. Savonlinna is a three hours drive from Loviisa. We drove early so we could arrive there early and have time to check our summer cabin we rented. We arrived just before 10. The weather wasn’t so good as it was raining hard. Unfortunately, due to rain, we didn’t have a chance to take photos using the DSLR camera. Sadly, no nice photos this time. However, I managed to take photos using the small camera and my iPhone.

I was so excited to visit Olavinlinna castle but was a little disappointed that there was nothing to see inside. We paid 25€ for the tour (you cannot tour by yourself, need a tour guide), and saw nothing. Well, still glad that we came here and bucket list checked for me. It was such a lovely day.
