A DAY OF AUTUMN  BAKING AND CRAFTING

A rainy day was spent at home with my daughter. We did some autumn baking and crafting. It was such a lovely day.

Autumn season is here. It’s getting colder every day.

My daughter is sick so we are both home today. We are planning to do something fun today. But first, pick up some leaves for the autumn crafts later. It’s raining so badly but we needed some leaves so we picked some. It’s not very cold but very windy. I took an umbrella with me. My daughter enjoyed picking up the leaves even though it was raining.

The other day the daycare called us to pick up our daughter. She has a few skin allergies, but we know it’s nothing contagious. But the daycare was so worried asking us to bring our daughter to the doctor. So Meu left his work to pick up our daughter and brought her to the doctor right away. The doctor wasn’t sure what she had but advised her to stay home for three days. I had to take sick leave so I could stay home with her.

It’s rainy and windy today and we are staying inside.

My daughter requested to bake some chocolate chip cupcakes. She has a sweet tooth and loves anything sweet just like me. She’s helping me to prepare and bake cupcakes today. I love how interested she is to learn and do things independently. I hope that someday she will continue to be patient and eager to learn. She is my sweet, sassy, independent girl. I love her so much! She knows what she wants and gets upset whenever we don’t let her do it.

It’s our one-on-one bonding time today. Just me and her. I’m happy and grateful I got to spend time with her. Work can always wait. I’m grateful for this opportunity to stay home. To take care of the kids whenever they get sick. A job’s privilege.

So windy and raining hard today. Good, we are inside.

We are gonna be making apple crumbs muffins and apple cake. We used store-bought apples today. These apples are big. We will only be using two apples in this recipe. This recipe is so easy to make. it’s perfect for a cold autumn day. I often crave sweets and baking on our own is a good idea.

I want Rosie to learn cooking and baking as well. It’s nice to teach her because she is really interested in learning. I hope that she continues like this when she gets older. Her interest in learning will continue and not change.

The chocolate cupcakes turned out really good. Looks so yummy. Rosie is very excited to see the cupcakes and cannot wait to eat them. I’m glad how these cupcakes turned out. They look perfect and delicious.

Sometimes I feel like when kids join in they just make more mess. But then I realized how fast they grow and how fast the time goes. So instead of being angry, I include them in everything I do. Whether it’s cooking, baking, grocery shopping, laundry, etc. It’s a great bonding with them we can cherish forever. So whatever I’m doing in the kitchen, I let them help me.

Motherhood can be hard and challenging sometimes. But know that you are not alone and all this will pass. Don’t worry about the mess, the laundry to fold, the dirty dishes in the sink. Don’t feel guilty to take a break sometimes. it’s gonna be fine. ‘You are not alone. We also experience the same. And we don’t need to worry. Motherhood is a blessing. Cherish every moment you can. Kids won’t stay little forever. Love them and cherish them. Take it slow and enjoy those little moments with the kids.

Crafting is one of the great activities you can do with the kids. Rosie is 3 and she loves drawing, painting, reading, etc. Today are using the leaves we picked earlier. I also let Rosie whatever arts and designs she would like to do. She drew herself and then glued some autumn leaves. She getting creative and improving her art. They do arts almost every day in daycare and she always brings them home.

This one is the easiest and nicest craft we did today.

Love our baking session with Rosie today. The chocolate cupcakes, apple muffins, and apple bread are good. We had a productive day.
